Pancakes and Booze 2012...Homerun!

This morning I woke up with the smell of maple syrup and acrylic paint in my head, all the remnants of a great event last night at The Duce in downtown Phoenix.  'Pancakes and Booze/Phoenix' was a knockout!  Great art from local artists and a great venue made for a unique event that will take it's theme to the south of Market neighborhood of San Francisco in two weeks at Gallery 4/5.  The setting was a warehouse converted to a restaraunt, bar, retail space, event space and oh yeah, boxing gym.  Beautiful atriums, classic vintage style and a great staff made it one of my favorite events in recent years.  I was fortunate enough to paint live and here is what I did, the unfortunate part is that it came together late in the evening so many of the guests only saw shapes and color and weren't around for the finishing touches like the bubble and it's content, but it was a great time nonetheless and I can't wait to do it again!
